Oversight Board

An Oversight Board has been established to assist in closing out the business activities of the dissolved Redevelopment Agency, and to direct the activities of the Successor Agency of the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency (the City of Carlsbad).  The first meeting of the Oversight Board will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers.

Boards and Commissions

Agendas for boards, commissions and committees are available from the departments with supporting staff to each board,commission or committee.

Other meeting agendas

The City Council also serves as the Carlsbad Municipal Water District Board, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission, the Public Improvement Board, the Industrial Development Board and the Public Financing Authority.

These agencies hold meetings on an as-needed basis.

The City of Carlsbad encourages community members to watch City Council meetings and provides options:

• Watch in person:  Come to the City Council chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive to see a City Council meeting in person.  The Carlsbad Municipal Code calls for Council meetings to be held on the first four Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m.  Meetings are publically noticed at least 72 hours in advance.  Check the city website for the next meeting date.
• Watch online:  City Council meetings are streamed live on the city website and can be watched at a later date too.  Looking for a specific agenda item?  Just click on the topic to see that part of the meeting.
• Watch on TV:  City Council meetings play live on the city’s Time Warner cable channels 24 and 126, and they replay throughout the week.  Check the schedule for times.
• Access through podcasts:  Download a video or audio podcast from iTunes or watch on an MP3 player.

Council minutes are prepared by the city clerk and are the permanent record of proceedings of each meeting. Access the meeting minutes through the city's document management system.
