Enrichment Specialty Camps

Choose from more than a hundred specialty camps provide quality programming offered by private instructors with specialized education or training in their field.  We offer diverse programming for any interest whether you are looking for something you know your child loves or trying to find something new to inspire new interests. Pick up your copy today, online resident registration begins February 29, 2012 at 7 a.m.

Traditional All Day & Half Day Camps

Traditional camps are held during Carlsbad's spring and summer school breaks and are run by city staff.  These camps were designed to have something for every child or teen.  Each camp will offer arts and crafts, sports, teambuilding activities, water play, music, engaging weekly themes, and exciting fieldtrips (excluding pee wee).  Each camp was designed with a specific age group in mind and all activities were geared to meet there want and needs.  These camps sell out every year so don't wait to register, sign up early.

  • Pee Wee - ages 3 to 5
  • Kidz - ages 6 to 11 *5 year olds will be allowed with supervisor approval
  • Explorer - ages 11 to 13 *10 year olds will be allowed with supervisor approval
  • CIT (teens) - ages 13 to 15

Each child must provide a completed medical release form prior to the first day of camp.
