Carlsbad Parks & Recreation brings the funk with all new hip hop classes and new dance instructors with more variety than ever before.  The new classes  offer family, preschool classes and even a family class everyone can enjoy together. So step up and explore the basic movements of the ever changing style of hip hop!

New tennis classes at Poinsettia Park >select Sports

tennis courtsThe Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of tennis classes at parks throughout the City of Carlsbad.  Courts are reserved for city programming on specific days and times and have priority.  Municipal code 11.32.030 prohibits private instruction in city parks.

Juniors Tennis (ages 5-6 years)

Juniors Beginning (ages 7-12 years)

Juniors Beginning Intermediate (ages 10-15 years)

Adult Beginning (ages 16 years and older)

Adult Beginning Intermediate (ages 16 years and older)

Adult Intermediate  (ages 16 years and older)

Please note that city programming has priority and the courts may be reserved specific days and times.  A court usage schedule is posted at Poinsettia Park.

Do you have a great program that provides lifelong learning, introduces a new skill or hobby?  The City of Carlsbad accepts new class proposals throughout the year both for classes and camps.  If you have specific education, training or specialized skills and would like to propose a new educational program please contact christina.hershey@carlsbadca.gov and request a new instructor packet.
