The City of Carlsbad together with community members has developed a plan that reduces speeds and improves safety for the stretch of La Costa Avenue between El Camino Real and Rancho Santa Fe Road. The goals of this plan are to enhance the residential character of the La Costa neighborhood while maintaining the roadway's function as a main east-west corridor.
